The Hype-R-Fuzz is a clone of the Boss™ FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz. We reverse engineered the actual pedal and with the factory schematic to get it right. This PCB has the original component footprints and some of the components are hard to find be the instructions have working alternatives. 

The Hyper Fuzz is growing in popularity and is a great project and a fun fuzz. The Hype-R-Fuzz has three modes: Fuzz 1, Fuzz 2 and Gain Boost. Fuzz 1 is used for a "booming" sound, Fuzz 2 for treble sound and Gain boost when the FZ-2 is used together with amp distortion. The FZ-2 attempts to create a fuzz sound reminiscent of the 60's and 70's but it also has the possibility to create a sound that is more in the grunge direction. The FZ-2 can also be used purely as a gain booster with no added distortion.
